That cassette is shit... No way to adjust the shifting to get it working. I have R8000 RD and I have tried every possible combination...

Good review! I’ve had the same front derailleur issues, & this is despite the initial set the screw limits first. I’ve ended up running a 1x on my bike - 46t chainring, with a 12 speed 11-34 cassette. No chain rub, just great for cruising on the flat 🥖🥖

I think a pair of circlip pliers would have removed that crank top cap.

Testing with a wonky cassette and crankset was a sure way of giving you trouble, I think. I was testing a couple of cheap cassettes I got from AliExpress on my 12-speed Ultegra Di2 bike, and had I not known how the groupset works with its genuine cassette, I would have been quite disappointed in the whole thing, because the cassettes look totally fine but...don't work well even after endless adjustments and test rides. It's really (not) surprising how much the cassette/crankset and chainrings affect the performance of the whole groupset.

105s non electric way easier and cheap.

Sram-style cranks really load up their retention bolts, i snapped one while riding. Went Shimano-style crank, which uses pinch-bolts. Never had issues.

Frame looks exactly like my GIant TCR.

You want circlip pliers to remove your top cap; preferably right angle ones. Simples.

Shimano does the same, you can't use snall chainring and 2 smallest sprockets, but with big chainring you can whole cassette

Was looking forward to your review after our email exchange. I found the amount of positive reviews slightly suspicious to be honest. Berm Peak did a review a while back on a prototype model perhaps and detailed the app/software frustration, but others seem to gloss over it, or just mention it as if it's minor.. And perhaps to some it is, but after using LTwoo's app ony eGR on the fly, i don't think I'll be looking at this one anytime soon and if i get a road group set, stick with LTwoo eRx. Both are similar in price here anyway! 🥖🥖🥖

you never got clean cut if you only use regular hacksaw blade. you need use special blade use for cutting carbon fiber. park tool sell it.

I know it's your main YT business reviewing chinese products, but, a trick question 🤔: aren't you tired of so much that (cheap chinese stuff) ?? Jesussssss, just pain in the a****, hours of labour, frustrating at all. I gave up on cheap chinese products: reliable parts from the big 3 brands or quit cycling. Almost 35 years being a bike mechanic and have no more patience for this kind of suffering! My free time is just for riding, my repair room and my tools just for basic maintenance. Freedom!

Bib shorts at 71 quid ?, I picked a good pair up in Lidl two weeks ago, £5.99.

it pains me to say that L-twoo ER9 is better because i really dont want to recommend it (horrendous customer support that refuses to honour warranty, beta products that just randomly break for no reason...), but i've put 7k km on my er9 and whenever it's making noise, it's my fault. if i calibrate it properly, it doesnt rub, doesnt drop chains, doesnt rattle and so on. A FD that rubs like you show in the video would drive me insane in 10min, it's just not usable. Ditto on rattling shifters, wtf is that? I thought wheeltop was supposed to be better than ltwoo, not the other way around.

6:40 They now make funnels that has 2 rubbers to press in and seal instead of threading so that you can thread different size adapters in the lever easily and then press the funnel!

I had some similar experience, but after a tries, it's doesn't rub anymore. I understand this is frustrating, but I guess the time spent on tweak proportial to the discount we get from other electronic shifter models.

The FD is the crux of the wheel top groupset. I took my front deraileur off and made it a 1x setup. After that, all my issues went away!

They refused to send me one after initially contacting me asking for a review. I said on my terms - they were not to control the narrative, unbias fair review etc and they immediately pulled out without citing a reason.

I checked out OG-EVKIN's site and noticed there was a Trace Velo colorway, very nice!

In this episode: Luke beta tests a cheap Chinese groupset for the manufacturer at no charge and concludes that you get what you pay for.

You shouldn’t have to do this, but I contacted Wheeltop and asked them to unlock the front derailleur trim adjustments in the app and while they cautioned me against futzing with it, they granted my account the necessary permissions without any argument. Worth writing in to them to see if you can get it tweaked to your liking!
